Fullmetal Alchemist Trading Cards
Project Type: Retail Collectible Trading Card Game Product
The challenge for Creative Instinct was to design a retail product that appealed to the Fullmetal Alchemist fan base. The printed foil wrappers were made with five of the different characters to make the retail experience unique for each purchase. There were also a variety of display boxes made to hold a variety of contents to the game from the printed foil packs to the Starter Decks for this unique TCG (trading card game) / CCG (collectible card game).
Beyond The Streets Trading Cards

Beyond The Streets is the premier exhibition of graffiti, street art and beyond, celebrating the soaring heights to which the world’s most recognizable modern art movement has risen. BTS is a groundbreaking multimedia showcase of paintings, sculpture, photography, installations and more. The exhibition debuted in Los Angeles in May 2018 in 40,000+ sq ft of industrial indoor and outdoor space. We produced the 42-card set that features the amazing art of Pose. The packaging included counter display boxes and the printed white matte wrappers which provide the nostalgic trading card look and feel to the overall product.
BOSE Trading Card Packs
Project Type: Promotional Trading Card Packs
BOSE is the Official Sound of the NFL. To help promote their product line of headphones, they developed a promotion that featured the headphones on trading cards with photos on the front and the product specifications on the back. Some of the bonus cards in the packs included some foil cards and a lenticular trading card that featured Russell Wilson and JJ Watt. As you move the card, the image changes from one Pro Bowl NFL star to the other.
Mattel Hot Wheels Trading Cards

Mattel looked to Creative Instinct with its vast experience within NASCAR to design their in-pack trading cards. The cards were designed to best display the NASCAR drivers due to the fact that a portion of the card would always be covered by the die cast vehicle.
NASCAR Press Pass Legends
Project Type: Sports Event Trading Cards
Press Pass looked to CI for the design and production of their inaugural product that focused on the history of NASCAR. The product needed to convey the rich history of racing but have a modern feel. The nostalgic look of the product was enhanced through the usage of intricate production techniques. The photography on the trading cards were framed by interlocking foil stamps in two different colors. A spot gloss varnish was used on the photo and a dull varnish was used for the black borders. The combination of these elements created the nostalgic feel in a modern way. The packaging featured a gloss varnish for the driver photos, a dull varnish for the black areas and silver metallic ink for the frames and text. The product became an instant favorite with trading card collectors.
Coca-Cola Promotional Trading Cards
Project Type: Corporate Promotional Event Trading Cards
The challenge for Creative Instinct was to design promotional trading cards for the Coca-Cola NASCAR racing family. Customers were able to select free Coca-Cola NASCAR racing family trading cards with the purchase of two Coca-Cola products. Creative Instinct designed the trading cards to fit within the branding of the Coca-Cola look and feel.
Elvis Presley Trading Cards

Creative Instinct designed trading cards and packaging for “The King”. The officially licensed trading card set is a chronicle of Elvis Presley’s life and also features memorabilia embedded in the cards including an autograph from an authentic check that was signed by Elvis called “Historic Cuts”.
Orange County Choppers Trading Cards

Creative Instinct was tapped to develop a trading card product for the Discovery Channels’ hit television show “American Chopper”. Trading cards were designed that featured Orange County Choppers custom built choppers from the show including the Fire Bike, Jet Bike, Black Widow Bike, Mikey’s Bike, Dixie Chopper and the Old School Copper. Creative Instinct also worked closely with Joyride Studios and Discovery on establishing a look and feel for the packaging.
